I live in Wales or Scotland, am I able to use EPS?
We currently accept electronic prescriptions from GP surgeries in England that are registered with the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). The good news is that more than 98% of GP surgeries are already registered.
What does Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) mean? How does it work?
With the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), your GP can send your prescription securely and electronically to Medpharm, so there’s no need to collect a paper prescription from the surgery. By nominating MedPharm as your chosen pharmacy, you’ll benefit from our free NHS prescription delivery service, bringing your medicines directly to your door across England.
I pay for my prescriptions, how will this work?
Once Medpharm receives your NHS prescription, we’ll contact you to arrange payment if a prescription charge applies. You’ll only pay the standard NHS prescription charge—there are no additional fees for our delivery service.
If I have a paper prescription, can you dispense this?
Yes we can but the paper prescription will need to be posted to us first to: 3 Austin Mews, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 3AF
When Shall I Order my Medication?
It is best to order your medication 7 days before you run out. This gives us and the surgery enough time to get your medication ready and delivered via our trusted courier.
Do I need to sign for my deliveries?
You will not be required to sign but if you have a Controlled Drug, then a signature will be required.
How Shall I order my Repeat NHS Prescription Online?
Once you have nominated MedPharm as your chosen pharmacy, your GP will send your electronic prescriptions directly to us whenever you request your medication. This means we can prepare your medicines and arrange delivery without the need for you to collect your prescription from the surgery.
If I am taking a Controlled Drug, can I still use your service?
We dispense controlled medicines using a secure, signed-for delivery service. If your controlled drugs are prescribed on a paper prescription, please check with your GP surgery that they can send the prescription directly to MedPharm.
My Surgery does not allow me to use Third Parties to order my medication, can I still use your delivery service?
Yes you can. You can either get your surgery to nominate you to Medpharm or use our sign up form to nominate yourself. Then, request your medicines from your GP surgery by phone, in person, or online (where available). Once your electronic prescription is received, we will prepare your medication and arrange delivery directly to you.
Once you get my prescription, how long will you take to deliver?
Once we receive your NHS prescription from your GP, we will prepare your medication and aim to dispatch it within 2 working days. We will keep you updated throughout the process and ensure your medicines are delivered safely and securely.
How do you protect my personal information?
